Children 12 years and under are permitted to fish freshly stocked Tom's Run from the Swinging Bridge to the Children's Fishing Pond.  Registration and prize give-away will be held at the Children's Fishing Pond behind the Park Office.  This event is sponsored by the Marienville Rod & Gun Club, PA Fish & Boat Commission, Cook Forest Vacation Bureau, and Cook Forest State Park.  All prizes donated by area merchants.  For more information, head to their Facebook page.

Tour-de-Forest- May 19-20, 2018
A rare opportunity to ride your ATV in parts of the Allegheny National Forest. Organized by and benefiting the Marienville Volunteer Fire Department.   The Tour-De-Forest is a an ATV leisure ride through the scenic Allegheny National Forest on designated forest roads and trails that are not usually open to ATV traffic.  The Tour De Forest is always scheduled on the third weekend in May and the first weekend in October.  For more information, head to their website.

Pennsylvania Firefly Festival- June 23, 2018insect hunters
The Pennsylvania Firefly Festival, held the 4th Saturday in June,  celebrates the annual mating displays of over fifteen different species of firefly in the Allegheny National Forest area, including the Synchronous firefly and the unique "Chinese Lantern" firefly along Tionesta Creek.  The annual PA Firefly Festival always takes place on the 4th Saturday in June, on the grounds of the Black Caddis Ranch B & B in Kellettville. The site is near the Kellettville Campground, just 15 miles east of Tionesta on Route 666, or 26 miles from Marienville via Routes 66 & 666. Wolfs Corners is the biggest little fair in northern Clarion County with a rich heritage spanning back over 75 years.   The fair is always held over the week of the Fourth of July and showcases many unique activities.  The longest running tradition at the fair has been the draft horse pulls held every year since our inception on the Fourth of July.  For more information, go to their website.

Softball, volleyball, horseshoes, swimming, bingo, raffles, Chinese Auction, food, parade 4 PM, splash dance 6 - 9 PM, music by TRIXX 7 - 10 PM, fireworks by Rizers Fireworks 10 PM.  Activities take place at the MACA Building and Pool from 1- 10 PM.

Held annually in July, the "Toughest Show on Dirt" PRCA/WRPA Sanctioned event. Professional cowboys and cowgirls competing for points towards National Finals Rodeo. Bareback bronc, saddle bronc, steer wrestling, barrel racing, tie-down roping, bull riding. Tionesta Indian Festival- August 16-19, 2018AmVets Indian Fest Parade (2014) Bruce
This community festival is held the third week of August and includes events for the whole family. Food, live entertainment, a car & motorcycle show, arts & crafts market, pet parade, costume contest, carnival, fireworks and grand parade.  For more information, head to the Indian Festival Facebook Page.

Now in it's 53rd year, this annual event draws quite a crowd for it's food and entertainment.  Get there early to claim your spot on Elm Street for the grand parade on Saturday!





The Battle for the Bridge at Remagen (Tidoute)- August 4, 2018
The origninal battle for tremagen bridge - Copyhe Ludendorff Bridge took place during World War II in Remagen, Germany in March of 1945.  The 10th Annual World War II reenactment portraying this battle at Remagen, Germany, will take place in Tidioute, Pennsylvania on Saturday, August 4th, 2018.  Hundreds of Infantryman organized by the 99th Infantry Division 393rd Regiment, Easy Company Reenactment Group (Battle Babies) re-enact this battle beginning at 3pm.  The streets of Tidioute will be full of action as approximately 250 reenactors representing Infantrymen of both American and German decent battle for control of the bridge.  Head here to participate or find out more from the event coordinator.

A fun packed weekend is planned every year on the last full weekend in September with activities for all ages.  While the catch and release fishing contest is the star of the show complete with cash awards and prizes, there is also a kids fishing derby with trophies awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, a parade with judging and trophies, bicycle give a ways, carnival rides, fireworks, lots of food and many raffles.  Find more information  HERE.

Christmas in the Village- November 3, 2018xmas in the village - Copy
Hosted by the Tionesta Market Village and held annually on the first Saturday in November, this special shopping event takes place in the Market Village, and throughout downtown Tionesta.  Featuring  live music, food and a visitor from the North Pole!  There will be free coffee, free cookies, a free wine tasting and unique gifts.   Visit the Market Village Facebook page for more information.

Tionesta Light-Up Night (late November; date TBD)
Sponsored by the Tionesta Community Association, this annual event marks the begining of the holiday season with the lighting of the downtown Christmas tree and decorations.  Live music, refreshments and a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Claus.

Marienville Winterfest (late January; date TBD)
Sponsored by the Marienville Area Civic Association,  this takes place at the MACA center in downtown Marienville.  It will feature a chili cook-off, bingo, raffles, Chinese auction, vendors and a snowmobile torchlight parade.

Sponsored by the Cook Forest Vacation Bureau, this event features a chili cook-off, carriage rides, sledding, snowshoeing, ice skating and snowman building contests.

Sherman Memorial Lighthouse Tours- June 9,  July 14,  Aug. 11 & 18, Sept. 15, Oct. 13

Enjoy one of Northwest Pennsylvania’s one-of-a-kind architectural landmarks. The Sherman Memorial Lighthouse, a unique project conceived by Jack Sherman, Tionesta businessman, will be available for viewing in 2017 as a benefit for the Tionesta Lions community projects.  Tours run continuously from 1 to 4 pm. Cost of the tour is $5 donation for adults and $2 for children.  For more information on lighthouse tours, visit the Lions Club website.  Private tours available call Jim McGuire 814-755-3672 or jrmcguire@verizon.net
